. Bowl Games por el kelly
S. Croslis
. While the
holidays seem to take over the news and commercials, football
and sports fans in general look for different types of news
the upcoming Bowl Games. . Who doesnt look forward to New
Years Day and sitting in front of the TV watching the Rose
Bowl Parade? . From the time we are little, before we even
understand the real reason behind it it just something fun to
watch.
. The story behind it though, is worth understanding. . The
Rose Bowl is the premiere Bowl game. . The winner is crowned
the best in the country, a most prestigious honor. . The
predictions are made before the season technically begins. .
While statistics from the previous year are reviewed, each
team is sized up as to where they may be this year, taking
into consideration players that have graduated and those just
beginning.
. It has always amazed me how so much pressure can be put
on one team to do the impossible. . That losing a game means
the end of a season or the hope for tomorrow. . It is has been
my thought that any team can win on any given day, giving each
the same opportunity for a win and a place in one of the many
bowl games. . While not everyone can make it to the Rose Bowl,
each team can make a name for themselves in how they play
throughout the season.
